A Self-Reflection

To able to look at yourself and acknowledge all of your qualities can be a hard thing to do. It has certainly been hard for me. During my Master's program, I took a class called E-Portfolio. This class, along with my Master's program thus far has helped me take a deep look at myself. I have realized that I have quite the personality. I'm kind, compassionate, passionate, energetic, empathic, a deep thinker, and so much more. The little things in life excite me the most. Whether it be a scene in a tv show/movie, a concert, a song, a simple deep conversation, etc. It makes me feel alive. I love to connect with people on an emotional, down-to-earth level. Of course not to the point where it gets overly personal, but at a basic level. I thrive off of emotions and new things. I also find new things to be quite terrifying and anxiety producing but after all said and done, I'm happy that I done what ever was presented in front of me. I also love to help others. I find happiness in others successes. I find no shame in needing help or helping others. We are all human and it's strictly impossible to not need some sort of help at least once in our lives.

I am incredibly hard working. I tend of worry if what I am doing is good enough. I try to make everything as perfect as possible but welcome failures. Failures help people grow. I am a quick learner. I love to learn. There are so many topics in the world that one can learn from. To be stuck in a constant cycle and not learn anything is hard thing to do. When we learn, we grow too. I also tend to look at my past experiences and wonder how they can apply to the career that I want to be involved with. Through my E-Portfolio class, I've learned that there are a lot of things that I have done and still do that relate to event production. I've learned that communicating and advertising via flyers, email distribution, and social media are huge when it comes to promoting events such as ice skating exhibitions, concerts, shows, sports, etc. I'm happy that I have some experience of event promoting through working at an ice rink, a university, and outdoor theatre.

Overall, I'm glad I am able to look at myself as an outsider looking in and realize I have a ton of attributes that can help me get me a long way from where I am now. I am strong, confident, and can wait to look back at this post ten years from now and say "I have came a long way and I couldn't be anymore proud of myself."
