Type of Project
For my capstone project, I will be creating an infographic. An infographic allows the reader to draw their thoughts about the information being presented without needing any knowledge about a topic and where the information is from. Not only is Infographics easy to view and understand, but they're incredibly fun to read and create. They help the viewer receive important information and understand it quicker than an article or book. Since they are usually very bright and colorful, infographics grab the attention of the reader better than any other form of written content.
Research
As for the research portion of my infographic, I plan on making it based on Music PR/Marketing and how they help create and execute a concert or festival. I plan on researching the benefits and disadvantages of PR/Marketing in music and then move in more specifically towards concerts/festivals. I plan on including the basic definition of PR/Marketing and the meaning behind Music PR. I'm going to research tips on what things PR/Marketing can do when planning a concert, tour, and/or festival. I plan on including real-life examples of how social media is key to a tour's success. I will highlight the PESO model and provide examples of how each media is used within touring, concerts, and festivals. I am very excited to see how my work turns out and can't wait to start my research!
